Welcome to daisyknots Mosaic Sampler
Crochet ALong (2019)

This enormously popular Crochet Along (CAL) first ran in late 2019.  It featured the Mosaic Sampler Afghan blanket design worked in overlay mosaic crochet. When I first saw this style of crochet I was immediately struck by how dense the fabric was and how it resembled more of a chunky knit or woven fabric. After creating a sample of the wonderful Apache Tears and realizing how easy and rewarding it was to work, I was hooked. So much so that I challenged myself to create my own patterns and the Mosaic Sampler Collection and the associated CAL were born.

You can still follow the instructions for this CAL, which are mostly in chart form with any extra information required included in a key below the chart.  If you don’t know how to work mosaic crochet or are unsure how to read the charts check out the video on daisyknots YouTube channel. It explains how to read the all important charts and also shows you how to get started with this wonderful type of crochet.

If you are unsure what colour-way you want for your afghan, visit the gallery, which is displaying the work of some of our testers, where you will get loads of inspiration from their colour choices or use the tag #mosaicsamplercal where you can see many more sampler colours.

You will find all the information you require regarding yarn amounts and how to get started in the introduction to the CAL which can be downloaded below.
