The Afghan sampler is worked in the overlay mosaic crochet method, with the pattern being mainly in chart form, which comes with associated keys and is written in UK terms. This pattern is suitable for people who have never worked a mosaic crochet project or for the more experienced crocheter.

The pattern is written for Aran/Worsted weight yarn with a 5mm hook. You can of course choose to work in whatever yarn you wish, though that may change the finished dimensions of your product. I used seven colours in my sampler as I wanted it to have a light, contemporary feel, so I chose to use an off white colour as the base with contrasting colours of two dark, three medium and one colour that would pop, giving me a total of seven colours.

This pattern was released as a crochet a long in 2019 and the individual

weekly sections can still be downloaded from daisyknots website for free.
