Learn the basics of free-motion machine embroidery so that you can draw with your sewing machine.
As explained in my the last post you don't have to be fantastic at drawing to use the sewing machine as a drawing tool. In this tutorial you learn how to draw straight lines, curved lines and lettering as demonstrated by the daisyknots above. You will see that "daisy" has one line of sewing and "knots" has two lines of sewing.
There's no right or wrong, it depends on whatever look you are going for. I tend to favour black sewing thread when drawing but ,again, it's your preference.
