Where else can you meet a giant crocheted unicorn?
At CHSI stitches craft trade show of course.
This giant unicorn was the star of the show at the King Cole stand, she was so so soft and looked very cute, but she wasn't the only exciting thing to see there.
I met Kerry from TOFT and had a chat with her about her menagerie of animals and birds and how my craft group just loves to crochet them and what is next on the horizon for TOFT. I'm not spilling any secrets here, so you will just have to wait.
You also get to see some fabulous products and designs that are not actually on the market yet, this is a sneaky peak at this gorgeous cardigan knitted in one of Rowans new yarns. I did get permission to use it, promise.
It makes me want to get my knitting needles out, the problem is it with my track record on WIPs at the moment it would probably take me two years to knit, well a girl can dream.....
Other highlights were attending the seminar on how to use video in the craft business today presented by Maeri of #themakeanddostudio and Anne of #workingwordzmedia. Great presentations ladies, I learnt a lot.
All these maple leaves on the #lewisandirene stand - there must have been at least five hundred - were cut out by the extremely hardworking Sally to showcase their fabrics. It took her ten days of solid work to make them, using the #sissixbigshot which she wore out because she cut that many. That is dedication for you, hats off to Sally.
Just a small round up from a great show, hope you enjoyed the peak into the craft industry.
